Praised as a singer who "performed thrillingly," exciting soprano Susan Santiglia made her operatic debut with the New Jersey State Opera in Carmen at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center under the baton of the late renowned conductor Alfredo Silipigni.

In recent seasons, music of Mozart, Verdi and Puccini have been the main fare for this soprano. For the New Jersey State Opera, she appeared as a guest artist in the 35th Anniversary Gala Concert in selections from Suor Angelica and The Magic Flute. As a member of the New Jersey State Opera’s Education/Outreach Program for young artists, Susan Santiglia appeared as Pamina in Papageno (The Magic Flute) and in the Summer of Song series. She has also appeared in operalogues and concerts as Mimì in La bohème and Micaëla in Carmen as well as in excerpts from La traviata, Le nozze di Figaro, Faust, Otello, L'amico Fritz and Pagliacci. On the operatic stage she made another important role and company debut as Violetta in La traviata for Bohème Opera NJ's Inside Opera program.

Turning to the concert stage, Susan Santiglia was featured in the Bergen Museum of Art and Science Gala Festival Concert as well as in the Stone Tower Concert Series and the Arts at Trinity Music Series in Bergen Point. She began her recital career at The Town Hall in New York, where she performed as recipient of the National Coalition of Italian American Associations Young Artists Award. Ms. Santiglia has appeared as soprano soloist in works such as Rossini’s Stabat Mater, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Verdi’s Ave Maria for soprano and strings.

Noted for her distinctive voice and expressive sensitivity, Susan Santiglia is the recipient of an Astral Career Grant as well as a semi-finalist award from the Internazionale Concorso Neglia in Italy.
